OVERLOOK DOWNTOWN LA AT PARK ROW BRIDGE

Accessing the Spot

This is a location where countless iconic photographs are taken of Downtown Los Angeles.

It is located on Park Row Bridge, which crosses over the 110 South Freeway in Elysian Park, and is completely free to access and open to the public.

The most direct way to the bridge is from the Chinatown entrance of Elysian Park.

  1. Take N Broadway to Casanova St, head up the hill and turn right on Park Row Drive

  2. Head up Park Row Drive until you see the Park Row Bridge

  3. Cross the bridge and turn right to head down into the parking lot

  4. Park your car and walk back up the hill to the bridge.

Pro Tip: Arrive around sunset for some awesome shots of the city skyline, but beware, the park rangers kick everyone out at sundown.

If you park at the Elysian Reservoir Grand View Point parking lot, the park rangers will show up at sundown and threaten to lock you in and cite you.

You’ll have plenty of time to get out of the park before they start harassing you. To avoid getting ticketed at sundown just park on the residential part of Park Row Drive, just north of the Park Row Bridge.
