NETFLIX’S ‘ARCANE’ IN-PERSON EXPERIENCE BY SECRET CINEMA

Netflix partnered with Riot Games and Secret Cinema to bring the world of their new show, ‘Arcane’, to Los Angeles.

On Nov 6 a show called ‘Arcane’ premiered on Netflix. Its characters and plot are based on the video game League of Legends.

It is a pretty good show - I liked it even though I haven’t played League of Legends.

On Nov 21, Riot Games (developer of League of Legends) partnered with Secret Cinema (masters of creating immersive movie environments) to bring players directly into the world of Arcane.

Equipped with bespoke backstories and missions, the line between actors and audience is truly blurred as players explore the dark and dangerous underworld and encounter its inhabitants—the strange, the sinister and sometimes even the friendly.

Players will undertake perilous missions, evade the Piltover Enforcers, survive and thrive, with each choice impacting how the story ends.

In true RPG fashion, you can pursue the main plot, find side missions, or do nothing at all and head straight for the bar.

I went with Scott and I’m honestly surprised we didn’t get kicked out, it got crazy!

Unfortunately, they did not let us bring in any recording devices so we don’t have much footage to share with you from the inside.

We had to find out secret codes, get loot from secret stashes, and navigate our way around the undercity.

All the character-actors never broke character and it was a lot of fun role-playing as a Child of Zaun.

Since we had the pins which showed we aligned with Silco, most of the actors shunned us and wanted nothing to do with us.

Overall, it was an experience like none I’ve ever had and I can’t wait for the Ghostbusters event by Secret Cinema coming up soon!
